Matthew Bennett has been a carpenter and specialist wood carver for more than 8 years. He started at a workshop in Brighton where his natural talent as a carver was quickly recognised and his skills were furthered under the guidance of a carver with 40 years experience. He was taught to carve new furniture, restore antique furniture, hand carve and manufacture fireplaces and surrounds and the manufacture of hand carved bespoke furniture for high profile customers.
After 5 years he moved on to another company where he furthered his knowledge of bespoke joinery and became a specialist in the manufacture of staircases. His experience and knowledge broadened to include the manufacture of garden furniture, windows, door and working from architects plans, including loft conversions.
His experience includes the manufacture and fitting of kitchens and bathroom furniture from scratch, and he has long experience with the fitting of wood laminate flooring and real wood flooring.
